Pastor Tim Gibb

Lead Pastor

Tim joined us in December 2023 with a passion for BEING in relationship with God through the work of Jesus Christ. Tim comes to us with experiences in church ministry, academic training, and almost two decades of supporting people experiencing disabilities. In every aspect of ministry, the common thread is Tim's passion for sharing the gospel with others, and discipling them into a full and joy-filled relationship with the creator God of the universe.

If Tim isn't in the office, you can probably find him on his porch with a coffee and good book, out on a walk, or at the hockey arena watching his boys on the ice.

Anne Vine

Administration

Anne, her husband Mark, and their two adult sons moved to the Aylmer area in Sept. 2012. Shortly afterwards, they made AEMC their church home and became active members. Anne started working as church secretary in Sept. 2015 and loves the opportunities for administration, bookkeeping, and ministry. In addition to working part-time in the church office, she does homecare with seniors. She has a passion for the Word of God, so enjoys leading a small group Bible study and teaching/preaching. She can also be found sitting on the Elder's Board and singing on a worship team.

Ray Kloetstra

Elder

Retiring from 32 years of Pastoral ministry on Manitoulin Island, Ray Kloetstra and his wife, Gloria, became part of the AEMC family in May 2020. Ray currently serves as the chair of our Elders' board and on our Board of Directors. Ray and Gloria have three adult children and eight grandchildren. Ray is an avid gardener and model railroader; he volunteers at the local railroad museum and Ray and Gloria also volunteer at a local nursing home.

Anne Vine

Elder

After moving to Aylmer with her family, Anne made AEMC her church home in 2012 and became an active member. She has walked with the Lord for most of her life, and graduated from seminary in 1989. In addition to being a homeschooling mom for her two boys for years, she has delighted in leading numerous Bible study groups and preaching sometimes. Anne is also the secretary for AEMC.

Chris Wiley

Elder

Chris has called AEMC home for over 5 decades. After meeting Missy at Emmanuel Bible college they married at AEMC in 1998 and raised their 3 daughters here; the fifth generation of the Wiley family in this congregation. Chris and Missy will welcome their first grandchild in spring 2024.

Chris originally joined the Elder’s team in June of 2013, serving for 9 years which included sitting as a representative on our Board of Directors. God blessed Chris through the various needs and struggles of this church family, teaching him compassion and hope along the way.

In the months ahead of our pastor’s retirement, Chris served as facilitator on our Transition Team whose purpose was to prepare for both our short term needs while searching for our next pastor and our long term vision for this church and community. During the year between pastors, Chris was invited to join an organized preaching team, as well as serving on the pastoral search committee. Chris rejoined the Elder team, after a short break, in October 2023.

Chris is involved in the worship and music ministry, leading one of our Sunday morning worship teams.

Chris has worked for Community Living Elgin for the last 15 years, actively involved in supporting the independence of people living with developmental disabilities.

Chris is well into his third decade as a genealogist, exploring the stories of hope and hardship that have shaped our families and our community. More than a hobbyist, Chris is a self-taught genetic genealogist and has successfully uncovered lost or unknown family members. It has been his joy to participate in their reunions.”
